Nowadays, there are no accurate information about ideal conditions to develop aquaculture activities in the Portuguese estuarine systems.
The AquiMap project aims is to contribute to the growth and development of aquaculture activities in eleven Portuguese estuarine and lagoon systems by identifying and evaluating high impact areas for exploration, through the development of numerical models.
In this sense, this project intends to develop maps of physicochemical variables that will allow to calculate the Exploration Index for each species with commercial value.
